I am trying to install dell command and configure on my dell inspiron 5520 runing ubuntu 20.04 os. I am following this instruction.

When I execute

sudo dpkg -i srvadmin-hapi_9.5.0_amd64.deb

I get following error:

Having to set root and prefix every time I boot on grub 2 "minimal bash like editing"

I tried the alternative method shown here using boot-repair after the system didn't detect at all the linux bootloader (only windows option and the disc only (which I don't know why it appears) were in the bios boot order options and in the boot menu). Now the BIOS detects the bootloader (ubuntu is added to the list), but in this minimal bash mode.

I use a Dell Inspiron 3501 and I was able to install Ubuntu 21.04 successfully. I did

apt upgrade 

and restarted the OS. But I am getting this error

Laptop not detecting extra RAM

I have an ASUS VivoBook S400CA with 4GB of built in RAM and an extra slot for additional memory. I have another stick installed but the BIOS and OS are still saying I have 4GB of RAM.

I'm running Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS 64 bit

The built in RAM is DDR3 1600MHz and the extra is a Crucial DDR3 1600MHz.

Multiple boot options in efibootmgr

I have removed window (built in my pc) and installed ubuntu. So, technically it should have only one boot option which is ubuntu but running efibootmgr it shows three commands. Here is snap

Ubuntu installed on 2 different physical disks, how to get them on one grub

due to some disk issue, I had to give my drive for repair. So I installed ubuntu on my other drive. Now that drive has been fixed, how can i have both the ubuntu on a single grub?

Also is it a good idea to have ubuntu on my ssd drive, or better to use ubuntu installed on a HDD?

Bios settings for Dual Booting Ubuntu and Windows

I have a thinkpad x1 that has both windows and Ubuntu installed. When I installed Ubuntu I had to make some bios changes but recently I reset my bios settings and now it boots straight into windows, grub doesn't even pop up. Any suggestions for getting grub back?

Missing RAM problem

I have a Ryzen 5950x with 32GB and 64GB. In both cases, Ubuntu is reporting 2-3GB less. BIOS is up to date.

It would be great to claim those 2-3GB memory back and put them to a good use. The CPU does not have integrated graphics.
