I recently installed Ubuntu 20.04.03 on my PC. When I ran the installation, it worked well, initially. However, after I shut the computer off and turned it back on, I get the login screen, I typed my password and it hung on the purple screen. It is just a blank purple screen. I browsed the web and found that it could be the Nvidia driver causing this issue. For this reason, I removed my graphic card and ...
I wanted to use daisy chaining to connect two monitors to one usbc thunderbolt port (three monitors in total).
In principle it works, but I can only get the second monitor in the chain to mirror the first and not extend it. Neither gnome, nor nvidia-settings recognizes the second display in the chain.
The monitors are all Dell UltraSharp 27, the MST option is activated on both monitors, the error oc ...
I've been using wayland with intel 520 graphics and, for the most part, it works excellently. However, I noticed that any hardware accelerated 1080p video playback (VLC,MPV etc) causes stuttering, not just in the video, but on the entire desktop (for instance, pressing super to see programs side by side with be stuttery).
I also noticed that, unlike with XORG, when video is playing played, the gr ...

I am thinking about buying a new Lenovo laptop which uses the Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics. I am not seeing anything here on that driver and 21.10 and if it works out of the box. I am currently using a laptop with AMD graphics which does not work with 21.10 and no additional drivers are found in software/additional drivers. Is there a list of supported graphics somewhere? Thanks in advance. Bob
