To keep this concise, I am having the exact same issue described in this question: Neither Ethernet nor WiFi adapter working on Lenovo Thinkpad P14s under Ubuntu 2x.04
I would've left a comment on there to ask a further question, but I am very new to the community, so I don't have enough reputation points :\
The solution given in that question appears to be elegant and functional according to the p ...
I am on Ubuntu 20.04 and my cursor worked fine, then suddenly it wouldn't move nearly every time I booted it. One thing that I found that fixed it was pressing F6 twice, but once the icon that showed you that the touchpad is enabled came up, it stopped working. I did a bunch of research and I can't figure out what is wrong or how to fix it, so I decided to reimage my computer (there was nothing I cared ...

I've had a weird behavior since around Kubuntu 20.04 which has persisted to 21.10. What happens is that after I've rebooted the laptop, unlocked the encrypted drive and have entered the login credentials, the laptop immediately suspends. I've got the laptop lid closed and a USB-C USB-hub connected to my keyboard and mouse. I also have external monitors connected through the USB-C ports. The laptop can b ...

I have Ubuntu 20.04 on a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga 3rd Gen. My laptop often wakes up from suspend just because I rotated it, e.g. when I put it into a rucksack. I know that parts of this question were asked before, however, none of the questions featured all problems that I have encountered and the answers were rather unhelpful in my case. I tried to install Ubuntu on my Legion 5 17" with a 1660ti and a Ryzen 7 4800H. The problems I encountered were:

Touchpad is not behaving as it used to be, at least not to what I've been accustomed to.
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- boot either kubuntu or lubuntu Live-CD 20.04 and
- use the touchpad after GUI started
I'd expect that the touchpad's behavior would be similiar to the standard touchpad behavior, at least some/most of them.
However, nothing works that way:
