I'm new to Linux and the only contact I have had with Wine-like software is through Steam's Proton, which works surprisingly well (though it is taylored for their platform, so it makes sense to work so well).
The thing is that I'm planning on 100% move my operations to Linux (Ubuntu) and that includes my software development operations too. I have a Fork license and the developer says they won't ...

When I hold a key in a game, the key is not held. Instead, it holds for a moment and then stops and repeats - the behavior you expect to see when typing. The most obvious example is holding tab in Counter-Strike causes the scoreboard to flash instead of being shown continuously. Other issues caused by this is jittery movement when using wasd.
This behavior is fairly recent (started maybe 2-3 week ...
So I want to package WINE as an AppImage using appimage-builder
.
First, I wonder if someone already did this, and yes, here, but it's outdated. I want to make one myself.
Next, I look on the Github page above for how to do this, but it requires PlayOnLinux to have up-to-date stuff, which it does not have.
After that, I looked at the appimage-builder documentation, and I got this.

Thanks!

I am trying to run 64-bit Games on Ubuntu 20.04, I understand that Wine is configured to run 32-bit programs and it is possible create a separate prefix for it. However is it possible to create a 64-bit prefix and merge it with the prefix that is already there, where you can run both 32-bit and 64-bit programs in one prefix?
Whenever I run any exe, I get this error. How can I fix it ?
I am trying to run a game engine (LuaSTG-X) via wine, which, as you've probably guessed, is very slow.
So I want to lower the resolution for that window only (not changing the whole system's display settings)
Currently I have a 1920x1080 monitor, I want to make that game display as if it is run in a 800x600 one.
I wonder if that is possible?
