Configure Windows DNS Server to throw SERVFAIL for certain domain
cn flag

As some sort of background: We are migrating from one IT infrastructure to another, though we cannot get rid of the old infrastructure for the foreseeable time and need to keep access to it - even though mostly read-only. It has to do with some corporate decisions, one part of the becoming it's own legal entity. The two infrastructures must be decoupled from another for that reason.

pe flag

I want to connect(for learning, nothing serious), two asterisk server via ISDN PRI. The first server will act as "telco" so is pri_net, the second server is the cpe, so I will use pri_cpe.

The cards are

pbx1-net: Digium TE205P pbx2-cpe: Openvox D210P

Both servers/pbx use Debian 11 and dahdi 2.11 drivers

On the pbx-net this is dahdi/system.conf

Connect to Server (it doesn't have external IP) over SSH
cn flag

I got a small PC setup as an Ubuntu server and I have configured ssh-server to be able to connect to it over ssh. The problem starts here because I have no external IP provided by my ISP, (all devices have 1 external IP) and I cannot change it. So based on research I did, I created a free tier AWS instance and I created OpenVPN there.

So I have a working it like that:

AWX/Ansible Tower unable to see playbooks in tasks role subdirectory?
pl flag

I'm adding some of my Ansible playbooks into AWX/Ansible Tower, using Azure DevOps as a back end git repo, but I've found after converting them into a more role based structure that certain playbooks seem to be invisible within the Playbook selection option in AWX Job Templates. This appears to depend on where they are located within the directory structure.

The primary issue is that I am unable  ...

How do I configure Wireguard for a K8s multi-site?
mx flag

I tried to configure Wireguard for a K3s multi-site cluster, my issue is with routing. There are at least 4 nodes, 2 in one location + 1 in other location and + 1 in other location.

Assumptions:

  • 10.50.0.0/16 network is for physical nodes
  • 10.42.0.0/16 network is for pods
  • 10.43.0.0/16 network is for services
  • Each of physical node can create a Pod, which have assigned an unique IP address in 10.42.0 ...

Can I get Xeon E5-2630v2 working on proliant DL160 Gen8?
cn flag

I'm replacing my 2xE5-2620 with 2xE5-2630v2, however after switching the CPUs the server doesn't start (doesn't wake the screen, no beep after a few min) and the status indicator blinks red.

System ROM: J03 05/24/2019

Have I missed something, shouldn't this work for some reason or are both CPUs from ebay broken? Would buying a usb-cable for the serial-port help me debug this?

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
