is there a way on Linux to set DNS servers using a cmd line?
gs flag

I use a script that creates multiple network interfaces with IP adresses. An example of commands used by the script:

ip addr flush eth0
ip addr flush eth1

ip addr add 192.168.1.10 dev eth0 route add default gw 192.168.1.1 eth0
ip addr add 10.1.1.10 dev eth1 route add default gw 10.1.1.1 eth1

I didn't find an option to set the DNS server. The file at /etc/resolv.conf has a DNS entry but it's not w ...

Two DHCP, One PXE
in flag

I am trying to figure how to build a specific topology in our servers, but mostly I want help on theoretical level.

I understand that you can have 2 DHCP servers on a same network as long as they have different address range. However there is no deterministic way to find which server replies first.

What I would like to know is what happens if you put PXE in the game. So let's say that in a network t ...

How do i found a barracuda custom spam rule: BSF_SC0_TG035b META: Custom Rule TG035b
in flag

For some reason we get delivered to the spambox at the providers outlook & hotmail. The reason we see in the deliverability report are the following rules: BSF_SC0_TG035b META: Adjusted rule TG035b BSF_SC0_SA038b META: Adjusted rule SA038b

Does anyone know how I can find the reason for barracuda's adjusted rule? And how we can solve this?

How Microsoft licences work with MDT and WDS deployment?

The problem is the following:

My company has bought several laptops (Acer, Lenovo), those come with Windows 10 professional edition already installed, so when you start the PC for the first time you end up in a classic OOBE environment (choose country, keyboard, cortana...)

More laptops (the same as I previously described) are coming. So, I would like to have a custom Windows in order to avoid repea ...

How to setup local server on Linux for testing Dokku?
pe flag

I'm new to Dokku and nginx server and I'm trying to set up server locally on Linux Ubuntu 20.04 for testing purpose instead of using one such as Hetzner (Cloud) or DigitalOcean (which already contains Dokku image which is older version of Dokku than the one I need) which could cause unwanted financial expenses.

More precisely is I'm trying to setup domain address in my /etc/hosts file, e.g.:

Nginx + Apache Max web apps possible
ma flag

I am going to provide hosting to a lot of companies, but these sites will be short lived, mostly used for temporary site creation purposes.

So I will be hosting almost 200 websites on a single 2 vCPU + 4 GB RAM type of server.

The stack is nginx + apache with PHP + MySQL based web apps.

My question is : how many websites such setup can handle theoretically and does it depend on the size of the server,  ...

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
