How to configure EXIM to check SPF record for incoming emails and add 'Received SPF' header to the incoming emails?
by flag

I'm playing with Exim and created a mail server that can accept and send emails alright. Now, I want to enable SPF checking for every incoming email so that a Received SPF header is added to these emails. But I can't seem to figure out a way how to do this.

The doc says, SPF verification support is built into Exim if SUPPORT_SPF=yes is set in Local/Makefile. The support uses the libspf2 library ht ...

Java App Only Displays Directory List - server misconfiguration?
cn flag

The library where I work is seeking to implement a lightweight Java app. It's an open source project, available here . Our IT department gave us a basic Linux server running Jetty 10 (I then installed Apache Maven). According to the app's ReadMe file all one should need to do is clone the repo, start the server, and go to /import. In the developer's words "it should just work".

It does not, a ...

Nmap 7.92 ssl-enum-ciphers not accurate?
us flag

Not sure if Nmap 7.92 ssl-enum-ciphers is accurate or it's a bug but when I scan a server using Nmap 7.70 it responds with an A rating for TSL1.2 TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA384 (secp384r1) but with Nmap 7.92 it says it's an F rating. Is this a bug or should I now also be disabling TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA384 (secp384r1)?

I have Windows 10, WSL2, and Docker.

I've cloned a repository from GitHub, and when I try to sail up, I get this message: /usr/bin/env: ‘sh\r’: No such file or directory.

The following is from the laravel website which I believe is the solution to my problem:

Web browser presented with bogus SSL certificate?

I have what I can only characterize as a very strange problem.

We have customers who, when they visit our website, get an SSL error: ERR_CERTIFICATE_AUTHORITY_NOT_VALID

Upon closer inspection, the certificate presented to their browser is not our certificate. Our certificate is issued by GoDaddy, and is wildcard cert. The cert visible in the user's browser when this error occurs is a single website ...

Is it possible to have different internal and public DNS with DNSSEC?

I'm attempting to achieve the following:

  • A public nameserver for my domain which points example.com to a public IP address.
  • A private nameserver for the same domain running within a LAN which instead points clients to a private IP address on the same LAN.
  • DNSSEC enabled.

Achieving the first and last points together is of course comparatively easy so it's getting the private component to work tha ...

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
