issues understanding some basic points about identity based encryption

I've been trying to understand an article (https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/8538446) about using blockchain to overcome identity based encryption (ibe) drawbacks. My purpose is to be able to code the method explained in the article at the end BUT i have big issues understanding the math behind the identity based encryption, here are my questions.

1- How are groups generated ( chosen ) in ibe ?

2- How are hash functions chosen ?

3- How does KGC (key generation center) compute his public key P0 ? It is written in the documents that P0 =s0.P ( s0 being the secret key generated randomly and P denote the group generator ) but is this a normal multiplication or what does this specific multiplication do ?

I'll be so thankful even for a small indication, anything that might help is very much welcomed.

Ps : i have few knowledge about cryptography that's why my questions may seem basic.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
