Is a truly p2p ledger (cryptocurrency) possible?

Is a truly p2p ledger possible, where there is no need for a third party (or a number of third parties) to verify ledgers.

Probably a system where the two parties who don't trust each other can verify each others ledger and then perform a transaction. If one of the parties is foul playing then the other party would not proceed with the transaction, cause that will make all his future transactions invalid.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
