ssh-keygen fails when specifying passphrase

ru flag

Running CentOS8 with FIPS mode enabled. openssh-8.0p1-8.el8.x86_64 installed

# ssh-keygen -t ecdsa -b 256 -m pem
Generating public/private ecdsa key pair.
Enter file in which to save the key (/home/eng3/.ssh/id_ecdsa):
Enter passphrase (empty for no passphrase):
Enter same passphrase again:
Saving key "/home/eng3/.ssh/id_ecdsa" failed: error in libcrypto

If I do not specify a passphrase, the operation is successful. Not sure what the issue is.

Looks like a bug. Try on different key location (`-f`) or on a different machine (preferably, with less antique OS).

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
