Someone mining xmr on my vps

ar flag
cnu

i noticed one cpu core using 100% resources so running htop shows, xmrig is running which i never installed.

and i can see it is running from path /tmp/xmrig-... and i am running a wordpress site here on openlitespeed.

so i doubt someone uploaded xmrig into /tmp folder using wordpress hack (this is my doubt ofcourse)

and i killed process and deleted folder from /tmp

now after few hours, i see folder back and process running too.

how can i find from where the process is started? like from cron or a service?

Just for Fun: if it running from a process, i would like to change hacker wallet address with mine and it mines to my wallet.

in serious note: how can i find more info about hacker and just blocking mining port is enough?

any help is appreciated.

thanks.

Sorry, man. Nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
