Offline virtual disk in AX150i

br flag

I have an old AX150i with two virtual disks. One of them works fine, but the other is offline. The storage device shows the following message:

"The virtual disk currently can not be accessed by any server because of some component failure or incorrect disk drive installation. Correct any component faults and verify that disk drives are inserted into the correct slots."

Virtual disk backup2

Disks drives are OK and they are also inserted into the correct slots. The problem seems to be that one of the two storage processors can not be managed by the software:

"Navisphere Express can no longer manage the other storage processor (peer) in this storage system because of a software failure. To correct the problem, first verify that you have a working path from each server to a port on both SPA and SPB, then reboot. If you do not, stop I/O from the server(s) and then reboot the unmanaged peer SP so that you do not lose access to your data."

Attention required

I have double checked that I have a working path from the server to a port on both storage processors. I also have rebooted the machine several times.

Theoretically, the machine should work with just one storage processor. However, I can not mount the virtual disk which is offline nor can I get it back online.

The thing is that I have other AX150i that was working OK so I switched the SPB boards. After that, the AX150i which was working well kept doing so, but the other one still had the problem.

I would be grateful if you could help me to fix this problem.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
