SSL/TLS connection with onPremise MySQL Database

sa flag

I'm trying to use SSL/TLS to encrypt the replication from an on premise MySQL database to a Google SQL Replica instance - This is the error I get....

"error": { "code": 400, "message": "Invalid request: CA certificate in onPremisesConfiguration is invalid. Please check that the certificate is in PEM-encoded X.509 format.", "errors": [ { "message": "Invalid request: CA certificate in onPremisesConfiguration is invalid. Please check that the certificate is in PEM-encoded X.509 format.", "domain": "global", "reason": "invalid"

Has anybody made this work? I've gone through all possible certificates, all of which work elsewhere and still get the same error. If I remove the caCertificate entry everything works but is not encrypted!

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
