Add manual postfix configuration on a Plesk Web Admin Server

in flag

I have a Plesk Obsidian Web Admin Edition running on Ubuntu 20.04 server.

Now I want to handle a wildcard email-address ([email protected]) like described in this topic: https://serverfault.com/a/437034/952187

But the domain mydomain.com should not be handled within Plesk. The MX DNS record of course is pointing to the correct plesk server.

When I do the settings like described in this topic https://serverfault.com/a/437034/952187 , I always get the response that user could not be found in virtual mailbox table. So the Plesk handling seems to have higher priority than my changes in virtual_alias_maps.

Is it at all possible to configurate outside plesk?

Welcome to Server Fault! Your question appears to be about a system with an administration panel installed. These questions are [always off-topic](http://meta.serverfault.com/questions/3922/question-about-migrated-post-that-was-closed/3924#3924) here at Server Fault and may be more appropriate over at [Webmasters](https://webmasters.stackexchange.com). And don't forget to take the [site tour](http://serverfault.com/tour).

Thank you for your hint. I was thinking it is server topic, because I want to do the changes directly in postfix config and not in admin-panel. But I was reading the tour now.

Hosting panels modify the systems in many ways, and it might overwrite your custom configuration.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
