Integrated Windows Authentication with Edge

gb flag

I had a Windows 10 client environment joined to Azure AD. Azure AD syncs users from on-premises AD using AD connect. These clients connect to a corporate networks using AOVPN.

The problem is whenever users browse websites(Edge/Chrome) such as abcd.domain.global which is load balanced using ELB(AWS), they get Authentication pop up. After entering credential, they able to view the page.

This is really strange as websites with Host A record are opening just fine without this credential prompt. This is defeating the purpose of SSO.

What I have done:

  1. Entered the website in local intranet sites.
  2. Enabled Integrated Windows Authentication in Internet options. DNS entry for domain:
  3. abcd.domain.global -> Host A record-> ----------> Working fine
  4. abcde.domain.global -> CNAME record-> DNS name of ELB(AWS)-----> Getting pop up for authentication.

Am I missing anything or CNAME will not work with this configuration?

Thanks in Advance.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
