As administrator, how can I disable CentOS 7 blank screen and screen lock for all users by default?

bh flag

I'm managing a server (have root access to it), which has multiple user accounts for each colleague, each colleague using the server as a remote desktop via VNC. It's CentOS 7 with GNOME 3.28.2. Our problem is CentOS has Blank screen (Settings-->Power-->Power Saving) and Screen Lock (Settings-->Privacy-->Screen Lock) automatically turned on by default (kicks in after 5 minutes of idle). It's very annoying, every time I create a new user account for a new colleague, they'll have to manually change the setting.

So my question is, is there a way for me to universally alter this behavior? Like, is there a way for me to have the blank screen and screen lock turned off by default whenever I create a new account?

Many thanks!

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
