What should the Ulimits be for users on a shared linux server?

There was a similar question already on here, but it was answered over 10 years ago (yikes) and I needed something more adapted to my server needs. I'm developing a shared Linux server for CS and Linux classes I imagine that the max amount of students on the system would be 200, but no more than 50 at once. I would like to limit the resource usage (CPU, RAM, etc.) using ulimits or pam, however, I am unsure what to limit each user to.

The server has:

-130 GB RAM

-3.9 TB Disk space

-Intel Core i9-7920x CPU @2.90GHz x 24

The students will probably be learning basic Linux fundamentals, web application development, and will be writing basic programs for database things.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
