Protect staging / pre-prod environments

cn flag

I'm trying to secure some microservices environments. The problem is about distributed services, because some of them are SaaS products or in different clouds, serverless, PaaS, Kubernetes and so on.. and they're interconnected.

Years ago, it was possible to restrict the IP(s) in the firewall on the edge or in the balancer or proxy. However, in cloud environments looks a cumbersome task to filter all the microservices. It seems complicated to maintain the restrictions for all.

how do you all protect staging environments in distributed services (microservices)? Appart from the IP filter are there other approaches?

Thanks!

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
