rsync check amount of bytes deleted

tm flag

Is there a way to check how much data rsync would delete from the destination when --archive and --delete are set?

I'm trying to set up rsync to abort the operation if it is adding or deleting more than X GB. Using --dry-run --stats, I can parse out the "Total transferred file size", which tells me when I'm adding too much data, but now I'm realizing that number doesn't account for the amount of data deleted.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
