CUPS "filter failed" with Kyocera FS-1325MFP

uz flag

I have a laser printer (Kyocera FS-1325MFP). I want to use it with Cups and my Raspberry Pi. I get the error message ""filter failed"" when I try to print the test page.

The printer is connected to my Pi via usb.

I am new to the Pi world, but unfortunately I am stuck. I have read that it has to do with ghostscript. and i want to try "ghostscript=9.27~dfsg-2+deb10u4". - i have read that it should work with this version...

unfortunately, i have not managed to downgrade ghostscript... i found out that ghostscript in version "ghostscript=9.27~dfsg-2+deb10u4" is preinstalled on the raspbian image "2020-12-02-raspios-buster-armhf-lite".

then i want to install cups but before i can do that i have to enter apt update... but this updates ghostscript again.

thanks for your help

maybe it's not ghostscript i suspect it is

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
