What is the proper way for multiple IP blocks to point consistently to the same internal IPs?

jp flag

If we have 2 IP blocks from different ISPs coming in and we want to accept traffic on either, how can we map IPs internally (NAT/VIPs) without duplicating for each external IP block?

We are on FortiGate 100Es with FortiOS 6.0.14

For example with ranges 1.2.3.1/27 and 6.5.4.46/27

Currently if we might have:

  • 1.2.3.12 to 192.168.2.56
  • 1.2.3.24 to 192.168.2.28

we would want the other block also mapped, ideally with an offset

  • 6.5.4.57 to 192.168.2.56
  • 6.5.4.69 to 192.168.2.28

Is there a common way to achieve this?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
