Setup postfix as smtp relay

my flag

I have a running centos 7 server with postfix configured to allow incoming mails to my domain, say, to [email protected]

Now I want to send a mail FROM this [email protected]. My old ISP used to have a smtp-out server that would accept me as a known mail client with a username and password. But my current one doesn't provide a smtp server.

How can I configure postfix to do the same when the mail from is [email protected] and with a username and password?

If your server is already configured for incoming mail, it likely already has some user list & authentication mechanism configured. Reusing that for outgoing mail makes sense.

Unless your focus your question to a specific problem, I cannot say much more than that the postfix documentation contains a file called [SASL_README](https://www.postfix.org/SASL_README.html) that outlines the basics of authentication, and that sending mail directly without a well-maintained relay could mean some other servers do not accept your mail until you setup much more than the technical necessities.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
