Loadbalance mysql-proxy

cn flag

I am looking for a solution setting up a MySQL Server in a redundant way.

As for now, I have played around with MySQL, creating a InnoDB Cluster with 3 nodes, 1 primary and 2 secondary ones which give me the oportunity to bring one node down without impact. I am using mysql-proxy to proxy all requests to the active (r/w) node. This works fine so far.

From my understanding, the mysql-proxy is designated to run on the Application side, which requires to access the MySQ Database.

Does anyone has experience with configuring the mysql-proxy on the MySQL nodes and configure a single domain with all the IPs from the SQL Nodes an create a resiliant mysql-proxy in that way?

Does this bring me in some trouble with DNS Caching when the primary node fails and one of the scondary becomes the primary while the client has cached the dns resolution information?

Are there other issues i do not see right now and is there a better solution bringing the proxy away from the aplication side?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
