Need to redirect all "mail" subdomains to main domain using mod_alias in apache include editor for server wide domain redirection

I run cPanel on my server and they have it set up so every domain.com gets a subdomain of mail.domain.com -- normally this wouldn't be a problem except the mail subdomains are exact duplicates of the main domains. This is causing duplicate content penalization issues with Google across all websites hosted on the server destroying SEO efforts. After much searching, it seems cPanel has not created an on/off switch for such a problem so I am in need of a regular expression which I could place within a mod_alias block in my include editor for Apache web server to mitigate this problem and redirect all mail.domain.com to domain.com

There are many "redirect subdomain to main domain" answers on stack exchange but I can't find any which do it globally.

I know these places are extremely strict on content so I apologize in advance if I have crossed any lines or not formatted my question appropriately. Also thank you in advance to anyone who can help me!

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
