IBM x3550 M2 (type 7946) not booting

A few years back we purchased a used x3550 M2 server and was using it for a while. About a year ago it would no longer turn on again, and today I've been trying to figure out why.

There's no error LED's blinking in the LPD, except for the Checkpoint Code saying E:7. Other than that the motherboard doesn't have any other blinking lights than the Power LED, IMM Heartbeat LED, and Enclosure Management Heartbeat LED. Both power units also light up with AC and DC.

No fans start, the only sound I can hear is from the power units when the cables are in.

So far I have tried:

  • unplugging power for 60 seconds
  • unplugging power and CMOS for ~20 seconds
  • 10 sec after booting, pressing Reset on LPD, wait 10 sec., press again, wait 10 sec., press again
  • connect VGA cable to the Video output
  • connect Ethernet cable to the System Management port and see if I can access anything

I cannot find anywhere online about this CP Code is either.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
