I am trying to do sudo kubeadm init of kubeadm 1.26.0 on an Ubuntu 22.04 machine. But I get the following result:

Unfortunately, an error has occurred:
    timed out waiting for the condition

This error is likely caused by:
    - The kubelet is not running
    - The kubelet is unhealthy due to a misconfiguration of the node in some way (required cgroups disabled)

If you are on a systemd-powered system, you can try to troubleshoot the error with the following commands:
    - 'systemctl status kubelet'
    - 'journalctl -xeu kubelet'

Additionally, a control plane component may have crashed or exited when started by the container runtime.
To troubleshoot, list all containers using your preferred container runtimes CLI.
Here is one example how you may list all running Kubernetes containers by using crictl:
    - 'crictl --runtime-endpoint unix:///var/run/containerd/containerd.sock ps -a | grep kube | grep -v pause'
    Once you have found the failing container, you can inspect its logs with:
    - 'crictl --runtime-endpoint unix:///var/run/containerd/containerd.sock logs CONTAINERID'
error execution phase wait-control-plane: couldn't initialize a Kubernetes cluster
To see the stack trace of this error execute with --v=5 or higher

In the procedure of kubelete installation you must configure the docker container (I think they have removed this part in the procedure):

Do these steps:

    sudo kubeadm reset
    sudo apt-get install -qy kubelet kubectl kubeadm
    sudo apt-mark hold kubelet kubeadm kubectl
    sudo mkdir /etc/docker

    cat <<EOF | sudo tee /etc/docker/daemon.json
    {
    "exec-opts": ["native.cgroupdriver=systemd"],
    "log-driver": "json-file",
    "log-opts": {
    "max-size": "100m"
    },
    "storage-driver": "overlay2"
    }
    EOF

    sudo systemctl enable docker
    sudo systemctl daemon-reload
    sudo systemctl restart docker
    sudo kubeadm init --control-plane-endpoint kube-master:6443 --pod-network-cidr=192.168.0.0/16

Please see the procedure for the container runtime official document for more information.

I had done this procedure but I don't know why I was getting that error message. I tried to remove and reinstall again the `Docker, docker-ce` and also `CNI` and the problem resolved! I don't know which of them were causing the error.

@best_of_man, It's good to hear your problem is resolved. The error message causes maybe because you missed a few steps which are not mentioned in the document procedure. If this comment is useful please consider up voting the answer also.

Unfortunately I can't upvote before I get 15 reps myself!

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
