Here are the Specs of our current server:
Poweredge R540, Windows Server 2019 (version 1809)
We swapped this current server in for an older Poweredge R530 running Server 2012, but we've been receiving a deluge of errors linked to the old server, for whatever reason. They have not hampered productivity or produced any errors on the user side, but it's quite the inconvenience to have to scroll through all the errors.
The error is as follows:
Event ID: 4097
Source: BvSshServer
Redacted log info: W_LOGON_SHARE_CONFIGURED_CONNECT_ERROR desc: Error connecting to user configured share. SSH remoteAddress: [Redacted] US/NA WindowsAccount: [Redacted] PrincipalName: [redacted@domain] parameters remoteDir:\server\folder\folder error type: WinApi operation: WNetAddConnection 2() code:53 message:The network path was not found.
My takeaway from this is that there was a configured Bitvise SSH server share path to the old server that was severed when we took the old server offline, but whose configuration was kept when we built the new server. My goal is to remove this error and connection if possible; I doubt if it is being used anyways and is just cluttering event viewer. I admit up front that I don't know a lot about Bitvise or why the previous techs had it in place.
Please let me know if I left any important info out.
