trying to link route 53 to a cloudfront distribution

cn flag

Here's my CloudFront distribution:

When I try to get Route 53 to route to that CloudFront distribution, per the instructions at https://docs.aws.amazon.com/Route53/latest/DeveloperGuide/routing-to-cloudfront-distribution.html, it can't find it:

One thing I note is that Route 53 wants to know the region that my CloudFront distribution is in, however, as per my first screenshot, the CloudFront distribution is not in a region. Or rather, it's in the Global region.

Any ideas?

Try pasting in the endpoint address for your distribution. It will be something like https://d111111abcdef8.cloudfront.net
I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
