Moving/migrating VDO disk to another server

ma flag

Following https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_enterprise_linux/7/html/storage_administration_guide/vdo-quick-start

I am able to setup/configure VDO.

I am unable to find any documentation for moving the physical disk (created/configured through VDO on a server) to another server.

Basically used LVM to create volumes on top of VDO Disk. Now have moved the disk to another server (which has vdo as a package installed) but it doesn't scans/detects the vdo volume.

I was able to resolve this by copying the /etc/vdoconf.yml to the other host

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
