Why would Google Chrome profiles not respect profile boundaries with multiple organization SSO accounts?
in flag

We're facing a strange issue and I'm not sure what could be the issue.

  • Every web browser lets you create different profiles. The idea is that each profile is walled off from each other. You can log into different websites/accounts in each profile and they won't be able to talk to each other or see each other.
  • But I've noticed that our organizations SSO works funny with Chrome. Our SSO works like you w ...

RAIDCORE Configuration SCSI Processor Device - Driver - After Instalation - DELL T150
za flag

I have purchased a DELL PowerEdge T150 server.

During the installation of Windows (Microsoft Windows Server 2022 Standard, Version: 10.0.20348 Build 20348), Installer did not see a matrix with disks. So I used the driver which I downloaded from the Dell website on Pendrive and it solved the problem.

Additionally, I installed the other drivers from the site: Official site with drivers

Please help, trying to set dynamic reverse nginx proxy but it fails
cn flag

Please help, I am trying to set up a dynamic reverse proxy so that I won't require to make direct changes to nginx. What I want to achieve is to create a default locations say:

location ~ ^/staging/v1/(.*) {

      proxy_pass https://$1$is_args$args;

Hoping someone can help.

I have previously been able to mount a local network drive to my server (was running Ubuntu 16.04.7, now running 18.04.6). However, recently when I try it gives the following error:

Weekly RAID check affecting my system - any way to mitigate?
ml flag

I recently got my webhost (Hetzner) to add a paid of 16TB SATA drives to my webserver. Currently using 2.5TB of them. They're RAID 1 mirrored.

I also have two 4TB nVME drives with 700GB currently on them, also RAID 1 mirrored.

Every week CentOS kicks off a cronjob to run a "check" on both of my md arrays. They happen concurrently, with the nVME one finishing after 5 hours. The SATA one takes a p ...

Firewall - nftables blocks outbound traffic
id flag

I've got a VM at a hosting service and installed a basic firewall with nftables. However, when it is active, all outbound traffic seems to get blocked. For example, when trying to ping google.com, I get a No route to host error. This occurs for any host I try to ping.

Here's my (really basic) config:

Remote Desktop and Citrix both intermittently freezing / disconnecting/ reconnecting
in flag

We are having an issue that arrives and then goes away by itself each day for the last week.

Users accessing via RDP (and this is via the RD Gateway to one of our multiple servers OR just directly connecting to a specific server via IP address), will get regular freezes or 'Reconnecting' messages which then load back up the session after 5-20 seconds.

It is not an Internet issue because it is happen ...

Use iptables and nftables together
ro flag

Is it possible to use nftables and iptables together? How can I give iptables rules higer priority than nftables. As I am using nftables for nat and iptables to drop traffic by matching hex & string.

These are the iptables rules which I wanted to use. If someone can translate them for nftable then also it will work as iptable-translate utility is also failing in this case.

The Stunning Power of Questions

Much of an executive’s workday is spent asking others for information—requesting status updates from a team leader, for example, or questioning a counterpart in a tense negotiation. Yet unlike professionals such as litigators, journalists, and doctors, who are taught how to ask questions as an essential part of their training, few executives think of questioning as a skill that can be honed—or consider how their own answers to questions could make conversations more productive.

That’s a missed opportunity. Questioning is a uniquely powerful tool for unlocking value in organizations: It spurs learning and the exchange of ideas, it fuels innovation and performance improvement, it builds rapport and trust among team members. And it can mitigate business risk by uncovering unforeseen pitfalls and hazards.

For some people, questioning comes easily. Their natural inquisitiveness, emotional intelligence, and ability to read people put the ideal question on the tip of their tongue. But most of us don’t ask enough questions, nor do we pose our inquiries in an optimal way.

The good news is that by asking questions, we naturally improve our emotional intelligence, which in turn makes us better questioners—a virtuous cycle. In this article, we draw on insights from behavioral science research to explore how the way we frame questions and choose to answer our counterparts can influence the outcome of conversations. We offer guidance for choosing the best type, tone, sequence, and framing of questions and for deciding what and how much information to share to reap the most benefit from our interactions, not just for ourselves but for our organizations.
