How to fix "Unable to access [Android Phone]" - "Unable to open MTP device "003, 013" when connecting an Android phone?

pl flag

I'm trying to move some files from a Samsung Galaxy A50 over to a new phone. But when connecting the Samsung phone to any of my three Ubuntu systems (21.04 on all of them), Gnome just shows a message box telling:

Unable to access "Samsung Android"
Unable to open MTP device "003, 013"

I've tried to follow the steps outlined here, and here, but with no success. Oddly enough the new phone (Volla) is working without any issues. Do you have any ideas how to fix this issue?

Debugging through Android Studio is still working, so a workaround is to copy files through adb. Just for the records, here's an example to copy exported contacts from the phone's Download folder to the systems Desktop folder: `adb pull sdcard/Download/contacts.vcf ~/Desktop/` I'm still looking for a solution though....

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
