"Wired Connection 1" replaced by "Auto Ethernet" and now I have regular disconnections

in flag

Recently, I was trying to create a bridge connection for my KVM Windows VM. I created the bridge connection in the host following these instructions.

Now, when I click network tray icon, "Wired Connection 1" has been replaced by "Auto Ethernet" as you can see here.

If I click on "Auto Ethernet", then the connection works as expected, but I now get regular disconnections, like after 5-10 minutes. I then deleted the new bridge connection profile, but I still have the same issue and I can't get rid of this "Auto Ethernet" profile because if I delete it, it will reappear right away.

I didn't modify any configuration files manually. I rebooted and restarted the network manager multiple times. The only post I could find in the internet remotely talking about this issue is this one, but it didn't help. Wireless connection has no issue and is not impacted at all.

Does anyone have an idea on what is going on and how I could restore/recover my network as it was before ?

Thanks a lot!

My config:
OS: Ubuntu 20.04
Desktop: unity 7.5.0 (NOT Gnome)
NetworkManager: 1.22.10

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
