I have 4 storage drives on my system.
Current Storage in Win 10
My goal is to install 21.04 on the 1 TB empty drive listed as Disk 1. It's a regular HDD. The windows OS runs off a nvme currently and I do not want to touch that. Booting into Ubuntu and going in for an install, I for some reason can only see one drive to select - Disk 2 Ubuntu Installer
Drive detected by Ubuntu installer
Now, when I click the drop-down, none of the other drives are detected, not even Disk 1. Other disks are detected by Ubuntu in the Disks application though and this is what they show up as Disks detected in Ubuntu
Drives are detected in Disks but not the installer
Aside from a suggestion to remove other drives and install Ubuntu on its own, I'd rather have the convenience of Grub to load into whichever OS I'd like. BTW, drives are in AHCI in Bios with no secure boot or fast boot. I've tried to format the target drive in ext4 and without any format as well.
The same setup did work when installing Ubuntu 20.04 though. That version was bugged out and was frequently locking up the system and hence, thought of a fresh 21.04 instead. What have I missed out here?
