I opened virtual media manager to increase size of my ubuntu because it doesn't want to open, but as I move the scroll to a higher value, it says failed to increase size, error message: Resizing to new size 12556050432 is not yet supported for medium 'C:\Users\Saeed\VirtualBox VMs\Ubuntu 1404\Ubuntu 1404.vdi'.

Result Code: VBOX_E_NOT_SUPPORTED (0x80BB0009) Component: MediumWrap Interface: IMedium {ad47ad09-787b-44ab-b343-a082a3f2dfb1}

please note that the operating ubuntu is 18.04, but I don't know why it sees it as 14.04

From the error message, this seems like a VirtualBox for Windows problem more than something related to Ubuntu. You may find faster support on a Windows-centric Q&A site

I knew that the problem is I set during installation ubuntu as fixed space. Thus, I copied the Ubuntu and changed the new copy settings to dynamic, but the problem now is I can’t open this copy.

That’s … even less of a problem that I would like to solve. Oracle software is unforgiving when people try to take shortcuts. The only viable solution with fixed-size VDIs is to add more, mount them within the VM, and retake control of your storage. Everything else will fail spectacularly …

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
