Bluetooth headphones connected and selected, but sound comes from monitor

ee flag

Similar to another question asked here, as I've found, but that has no solution and doesn't sufficient detail the problem.

I connect my Bluetooth headphones and hear a connection sound. "Headphones" is selected as the output source, but the sound still comes through my monitor via HDMI. The solution, however, is simple: I select HDMI output, then re-select Headphones, now it's working as expected.

I'd like to know if there's something I can do to avoid this last step, maybe change a setting somewhere, like I did to avoid going idle.

Important to note: I was using Elementary OS before and, not only I didn't have this problem, it also connected automatically when I turned the headphones on. So it must be possible to do on Ubuntu as well, I just never found anything about it online.

I've tried re-pairing, but it's the same thing.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
