How can I make chrome open text files in emacs instead of downloading them?

ve flag

When I get a text file attachment in Gmail I'd like to be able to open it in emacs instead of downloading it.

At the moment, when I click on the file, it says:

No preview available
[Download] [Connect more apps.]
Try one of the apps below to pen or edit this item
Connected apps
. Anyfile Notepad
. Online video converter
. Text Editor
. Text Editor for Google Drive

The problem with these choices is that they are not local and the time it takes them to open in another tab is just much too long.

I would rather that the file just pops up in emacs or "less" through an xterm. Thanks!

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
