Local Hard Drive is not showing in Windows/Ubuntu (Dual Boot)

cn flag

I have been searching for quite a while now. I have come across similar questions but the answers to those questions did not help so here I am.

I have an SSD (180 GB) and an HDD (500 GB. I have set up a dual boot to run both Ubuntu and Windows 10. Recently, I updated Ubuntu to the latest release. When I booted to windows, I found out that the HDD is missing and is nowhere to be found (I used windows' disk management tool). When I booted back to Ubuntu, the drive was missing from there too. I used Disks and Gparted to see what's going on but the drive is not showing up there either. I checked the dropdown in Gparted as well but no luck.

Is there any way I can recover my drive?

Thank you.

Laptop or Desktop? Does your BIOS see the disk? Does `sudo lshw -C disk` see the disk?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
