Ubuntu 20.04 OOM killer not configured

de flag

The OOM killer on my machine doesn't seem to be configured:

$ sudo -s sysctl vm.oom-kill
sysctl: cannot stat /proc/sys/vm/oom-kill: No such file or directory

I don't remember messing with it, though I'm not certan I didn't and I can't find it on "default" set AWS 20.0.4 machines

Are there any docs as to how to configure the oomk in 20.0.4 anywhere?

My specific issues is that when memory gets low, instead of the process being killed the OOM killer either a) doesn't work or b) enters swap loops

I want to configure it to kill processes when memory gets to ~85-90% rather than full, but I can figure that out on my own (probably) if I find any docs on the topic

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
