SSHFS with FSTAB

id flag

I'm pulling my hair out trying to get this. Running 18.04

In fstab I add the line

[email protected]:/home/dir /home/dir fuse.sshfs x-systemd.automount,_netdev,user,idmap=user,transform_symlinks,identityfile=/home/name/.ssh/id_rsa,allow_other,default_permissions,uid=1000_N,gid=1000 0 0

When I boot up I get it the drive mounted but when I try to access it I get error, too many levels of symbolic links.

If I run this from terminal it works fine.

sudo sshfs -o allow_other,default_permissions [email protected]:/home/dir /home/dir

I cant figure this out.

I have the same problem, only in my case the error doesn't mention `too many levels of symbolic links`. I have tried every possible suggestion on the net, but no luck. I'll try to ask again and see if someone finds the solution.
I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
