(I'm quite new sorry) Trying to run virtual ubuntu instance using QEMU+once launched I am prompted to install ubuntu desktop - I get a no space error

as stated I'm trying to run a virtual machine. I'm running on windows 10 and using QEMU to launch an ubuntu vm, and once I get through all loading screens I am prompted to either 'try' or install ubuntu , presumably on said vm. I'm not certain where to go from here as from what I've seen all topics I can find address different vm hosting programs and operating systems. Any help is appreciated, and thanks in advance.

From your description, seems like you have launched the Ubuntu *installer*. If you want Ubuntu, install it into the QEMU VM. If you just want to see what it's like, then "try" it.

I'm not certain if you'll receive this but on the chance you do, how would I boot the vm without the .iso? I'm assuming the iso is what tries to auto install the actual OS. I'm not sure whether you're saying that I should, in windows files, install something else, or within the VM itself install something?

You already installed everything you need in Windows: You installed QEMU. If you want to install Ubuntu in the VM, then run the installer in the VM (you already did that), and select "Install Ubuntu". If you want something else, then edit your question to clearly explain the problem you want help with.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
