How can I see the “console” on my VirtualBox install of 20.04?

I used to see all the system messages, etc. when I booted up my 20.04 VM. I still see all of that, but after it’s finished, instead of seeing the login prompt I now have a GUI with a login prompt. Is there a way to get rid of this?

Does this answer your question? [How do I change the runlevel on systemd?](https://askubuntu.com/questions/788323/how-do-i-change-the-runlevel-on-systemd) Specifically about the `multi-user.target` will boot to non-GUI.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
