Chroot update-grub

in flag

I set up a Windows partition after installing XUbuntu, so now I have to reinstall grub, in order to have my boot menu. I tried with the Live XUbuntu, but it complaints there is no /dev/ device or so.

Please, help.

See procedure here https://askubuntu.com/a/891812/243321 That is for `update-grub` If you really want to install grub, substitute that in the procedure

Without details of what went wrong, no one can help.

You're right, sorry. By the way, I found the issue: Windows has made its own boot partition, I had to delete it with GParted and, with BootRepair disk I installed GRUB back.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
