Were you following some instructions somewhere? Can you [edit](https://askubuntu.com/posts/1352232/edit) your question and add in the exact commands that you used to try to install WINE? The `"Yes, do as I say!"` is for your protection from apt trying to warn you that what you are doing can damage your installation by removing core programs that are needed. Any more details that you can add to your question will greatly help us to help you solve your problem. Thank you!

I don't have any other information but the problem is solved by reinstalling Ubuntu. Learnt a good lesson too.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
