lost previously working ethernet on desktop Kubuntu 20.04

mx flag

My desktop ethernet connection was working fine previously, but now I get the error "IP configuration was unavailable" from NetworkManager. My wifi connection is working. If I connect my Macbook, ethernet works fine.

I've tried restarting NetworkManager and my router without successfully restoring my ethernet connection.

sudo dhclient -v enp0s25 produces:

Also, sudo lshw -C network produces:

I also booted from a live dvd of Kubuntu 20.04 and the ethernet still didn't work. Does this mean that it's likely a hardware issue?

I've done some Googling without resolving my issue. Thanks in advance for helping.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
