ubuntu studio install /boot to another drive?

cn flag

i have run ubuntu studio for quite some time on an older ssd and want to try it on a new nvme ssd. problem is that my mobo is legacy and cannot see the nvme. i've successfully tried an install of manjaro on the nvme and thought i'd like to try ubuntu studio now.

manjaro makes it very easy to install the /boot directory and files to an alternate location, providing a checkbox that activates a dropdown list of devices. as i recall, i just had to tick the box and select a usb stick and the installation used the mbr of the stick. that system boots fine now. not following that procedure results in an unbootable install. does the ubuntu studio installer have anything that easy? i haven't found any info that gets that specific about such a niche install option.

thanks, babag

No, Ubuntu has no such option. You have to do it manually with the "something else" option.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
