VAAPI: Custom built chromium not working

it flag

I manually built the chromium version 91.0.4472.27 on Ubuntu 20.04

It gives an error: [358315:358315:0719/132834.331107:VERBOSE1:vaapi_wrapper.cc(627)] InitializeVaDriver_Locked(): The system version 1.7 should be greater than or equal to 1.10

But the same version of chromium beta installed with apt-get (from @saiarcot895 PPA) works fine.

Command used to run chromium: chromium-browser --use-gl=desktop --enable-features=VaapiVideoDecoder

I suspect, my gn build parameters are not correct.

Could somebody pls help me with the right build parameters to build chromium with VAAPI support ?

Note: VAINFO from my computer:

~/chromium-ubuntu-build$ vainfo
libva info: VA-API version 1.7.0
libva info: Trying to open /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri/iHD_drv_video.so
libva info: Found init function __vaDriverInit_1_7
libva info: va_openDriver() returns 0
vainfo: VA-API version: 1.7 (libva 2.6.0)
vainfo: Driver version: Intel iHD driver for Intel(R) Gen Graphics - 20.1.1 ()

I updated to VA-API version: 1.10. It works now. But no idea, how the Chromium beta worked on VA-API version: 1.7.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
