Editing Google Drive Files in Vim Fails using Gnome Online Accounts

cl flag

When I link a Google account with Ubuntu using Gnome Online Accounts, I can't save changes to Google Drive files in Vim/gVim. I am trying to edit plain text files. I get the following error when trying to write:

"/run/user/1000/gvfs/google-drive:host=gmail.com,user=MY.EMAIL/CRYPTIC/PATH" E166: Can't open linked file for writing

When using the Ubuntu default text editor, saving works as expected. Can gVim be configured to work nicely with Google Drive mounted this way?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
