What is your Ubuntu version? In which terminal do you launch `hardinfo`? What is the output of `cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep flags`

I run Lubuntu and I need no sudo for hardinfo. It works well with the command `hardinfo`. You might have problems with hardinfo's graphics when running via sudo. -- I need sudo for lshw, I run `sudo lshw | less` in order to read the output in the viewer less.

@N0rbert - there's more than one terminal?

@JustinF, I meant that you should try to run `hardinfo` without `sudo`. If still no luck, maybe try with another tool, for example lshw: `sudo lshw | less`

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
