as said above aspect ratio is stuck at 4:3 after i boot "normally". But whenever i boot into safemode, 5.8.0.25-generic kernel, and then proceed to "normal boot" from there, all of a sudden it's fixed.
Also, previous to this i had a kernel panic, where VFS (i think, don't remember exactly) was out of sink. Now that i brought upon myself, as i tried to download gcc-11 and didn't input the correct OS version when adding the new repo, consequentially tried to download a entirely different system as a dependency from the repo (:being new to linux is fun:), and breaking every package known to man. Anyhow i managed to fix that with some help from the internet, but the current boot still has the aspect-ratio symptom. I Tried all the of the top of my head stuff: -reinstalling the nvidia driver, -reinstalling the desktop, -reinstalling apt, -reinstalling dpkg, force download dependencies, forcing update, doing a dpkg packet repair from the safeboot, repairing the boot from the safeboot. Everything comes out clean, even the updater daemon says the system is up to date.
Besides the aspect ratio, everything works fine.
Any suggestions to fix this are welcome!
Thanks in advance.
