Shotwell multiple libraries with multiple watch directories

cg flag

I am trying to create and maintain multiple Shotwell libraries on the same machine (and same user account).

It is easy enough to lanch/create a new library with:

shotwell -d [new-library-directory]

(as per here)

However, it seems Shotwell just scans and watches the same folders for both libraries (i.e. if you change the library to scan/watch in Preferences - it changes it globally - i.e. for both libraries).

That is shotwell -d [new-library-directory] will have the same library folder location as the initial/original library (i.e. if you just launch shotwell). And the overall result is two identical libraries, in two separate locations.

Presumably, I am doing something wrong (?). How do you properly manage multiple libraries (and ensure you scan different directories assoicated with those libraries?)

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
